Product Extraction

Can anyone please let me know how can we extract Product Master Data from the CRM system.

What is the extraction object if we use transaction mdm_clnt_extr.

How does the extraction work, do we need to use proxy settings, can you please elaborate on this.

Thanks for those reference, I have had a look at those earlier.

However, what is not clear is what is the extraction object that is used to extract the product data from CRM. I do not see any product object that comes out of box.

Has anyone used such a scenario, if yes please let me know.

HI Kris,

Its just like a logical object being defined on the basis of which the extraction will be done for the variant being defined.

If you do not have any extraction objects you can create them by executing the program MDM_METADATA_MAINTAIN.

Once I extract using the transaction, I guess there are some proxy setting, can you let me know on what kind of settings are required.

this should be part of the IT Scenario Configuration Guide available on [Service Market Place|http://service.sap.com/installmdm]. There's also a SAP Note for the standard product repository (sorry, I don't know the number an cannot look it up atm).
