Hello,
First of all .... is it possible to connect to a dBase File with JDBC Adapter?
i try following connection:
jdbc:odbc:DRIVER={Microsoft dBase Driver (*.dbf)};DBQ=//xiserver/usr/sap/trans/XITRANS/XIE/Kasse/UML/in/ULager.dbf;
but get following error:
com.sap.aii.af.service.util.concurrent.ResourcePoolException: Unable to create new pooled resource: DriverManagerException: Cannot establish connection to URL 'jdbc:odbc:DRIVER={Microsoft dBase Driver (*.dbf)};DBQ=//mssapte1/usr/sap/trans/XITRANS/XIE/Kasse/UML/in/ULager.dbf;': java.lang.NullPointerException
i try following driver:
sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver
jdbcOdbcDriver should work on JDBC Adapter without deploying some new jars right?
regards,
robin
I have the same problem with Access Driver. And i know that this works with JDBC Adapter.
jdbc:odbc:Driver={Microsoft Access Driver (*.mdb)};DBQ=//mssapte1/usr/sap/trans/XITRANS/XIE/Kasse/UML/in/TestDB.mdb
So i guess there is some Error on XI JDBC Adapter.
Do i have to deploy the sun.jdbc.odbc.JdbcOdbcDriver.
As far as i know it is part of the normal JRE.
regrads,
robin

Hi!
Here's a FAQ SAP Note concerning JDBC adapter: https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/831162
But it contains no word about dBase.
Also have a look at http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/1d/756b3c0d592c7fe10000000a11405a/content.htm and http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/22/b4d13b633f7748b4d34f3191529946/content.htm
Hope this helps!
Regards,
Volker
