Hi gurus,
i have to load data from DTP to cube ,but i want to run initialization , whether DTP supports or not, but when i sea in DTP there are TWO options are available FULL & DELTA there is no initialization, so please can any one let me know
Thanks,
chandra
Initialization option will be available at the info package level. when executed, it will generate a request at PSA, then this request can be taken to ur cube through DTP using Delta option.
Hope this helps.

Hi,
What Raj said is correct. There are two different loads takes place when using BI 7.0 technology.
1. The entry layer to BI (i.e. Upto PSA) is loaded using InfoPackage as in previous versions. First InfoPackage as Init. with Data Transfer and the Second InfoPackage for regular delta load from source system upto PSA.
2. The next level data loads are done using DTPs. If you select the "Delta" in DTP, the system (under the covers) does the Init with Data trasnfer for the first load and it will pick delta from next loads. i.e. During first run of the DTP, the system will pick all the requests from PSA and create a pointer. When we run the DTP again, it will pick the requests from PSA which are new since previous run. Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Soma

Hi Chandra,
There is no init concept in DTPs. The first delta you run will act as a init and then subsequent lloads will only bring deltas.

Hi Chandra,
I understand you wanna setup a delta load using DTP.
First run your infopack with init w/o or with. Then run the DTP with option full. This will pick the init request from PSA. Make sure your PSA doesn't ve any previous requests.
From this point on, you can run a delta infopack & subsequently say 'delta' in ur DTP. This will pick ONLY the unloaded requests from PSA.
This is how delta works in BI7.0
