Support of RFC and IDOC adapters

Hello,

I need to know the release of SAP systems that we can connect to XI using RFC and IDOC adapters. Is the R/3 3.1 Release supported?

You can use the IDOC/RFC adapter to communicate with 3.1 systems... We are having scenarios where 3.1I is involved....

The above statement holds good at runtime....however if you want to import an RFC structure(say) into IR..it is not possible now to be done from a 3.1I system...So in our case we had to create dummy RFC interfaces in 4.7 system and get it imported into the Integration Repository..

Hello Renjith,

Do you know if in Release 4.5B I must create this dummy RFC interface? or Can I import the BAPI directly in the IR ?

Everything above 4.0 supports the import of RFC into IR...
