Profession Tax basis difference in a particular state - Indian Payroll

Hi Sap Experts,

I have a peculiar requirement from my client.

Certain wage types should not be allowed to be considered as Profession tax basis only in a particular state, rest of the states should be allowed...

Can this be acheived only by different sets of wage types i.e completely dfferent for that particular state

Or any change in the PCR's or function can help

Thanks

Hi Sikander,

Thanks for the reply,

What your are saying is right.......

but my scenario is something like this.

A wage type for E.g "9SPL" is being paid in Mumbai & Delhi.

In Mumbai 9SPL should be considered for the calculation of Ptax ........i,e it should be included as p tax basis....

But in Delhi the Same wage type i.e "9SPL" if being used should not be considered for the calculation of P tax........i,e it should not be included as p tax basis

We can decide whether "9spl" should be considered for Ptax through Cumulation but how to restrict it with location......

i think its not possible ....

Would value your opinion.

Thanks

I think the exitname HRINCLWF (function module name: EXIT_HINCALC0_001) can help you in achieve the requirement.

hi Sikander & Sreenu,

Yes, the issue has been resolved..

what i suggested was, creation of separate set of wage types for the particular state, so that the p-tax basis is considered differently only for that particular state.........
