authorization for Interactive Reporting

Hi!

I'm in the final stages of testing interactive reporting before go-live and I have discovered that my testusers don't have sufficient authorization.

The user has the following roles

SAP_BC_USR_CUA_CLIENT

SAP_CRM_OR_ACTIVATE

SAP_CRM_OR_ADMIN

SAP_CRM_OR_USER

Z_CRM_SALES_MANAGEMENT

SAP_CRM_UIU_FRAMEWORK

SAP_CRM_UIU_MKT_PROFESSIONAL

SAP_CRM_UIU_SLS_PROFESSIONAL

SAP_CXP_POWER_USER

and the following Profiles

S_PPM_ALL

if I assign the SAP_ALL profile the reports work

The following error is displayed when I execute a report

Details An exception has occurred during program processing Messages for DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_ACTIVITY from source system CS1CLNT300 
Details You do not have authorization to extract from DataSource /CRMBW/OLTP_ACTIVITY, comp. /CRMBW/OREP 
Details Error reading the data of InfoProvider /CRMBW/CSAL_C01 
Details Error while reading data; navigation is possible OLAP: Query execution aborted 
CL_CRM_OR_REPORTRESULT========CM001 131 METHOD

Has anyone had this issue and resolved it?

Please anybody help me out ..i am getting the error when i try to access the reports in CRM..

Drilldown is empty Field 0CALMONTH dropped from report

- Inconsistent view automatically adjusted;

Many thanks for your advise I will try to configure with one system, so I can create a list of pro's and con's regarding the usage of same client for reporting.

I strongly recommend to use the two test reports which are available through note 1263075.

Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK

Z_OLTP_CONFIG_CHECK_BI

I started to config the CRM and reporting client on the same client but I had a lot of issues.

When I started again with a separated reporting client (following Best Practice guide C41_BB_ConfigGuide) everything is working smoothly.

Use both reports to analyze your config because it will mark the inconsistent configuration on both clients. There are so much parameters where you can make a mistake, so those programs comes very handy.

If the CRM and REP client is the same, the RFC should point to the same client.

But I would not recommend you using the same client!

Hi Rollo,

The BB41 was followed, the main difference is that I have the same client for CRM and reporting. ALEREMOTE is configured correctly. The RFC connection is pointing to same client. Is this correct? Or the RFC should point to the ERP client?

HI!

Check the load of the querys. Was it succesful in TX ORDYWB in CRM client?

Also check the suggestions I did above!

Hi Rollo,

I've been trying to link CRM with BW in order to get the required reports.

For all the BI Interactive Reports the following error pops out: Error loading template 0TPLB_CSAL_C02_Q0003_1_1

For several CRM Interactive Reports the error is : The application program for the extraction of data was called up using the invalid InfoSource/invalid InfoObject /CRMBW/COD_OPPORTUNITY.

Could you help me on this?

Hi Rollo,

Right now we are working on the Interactive Reporting. I have given the following Business role to the user,

BP_MKT_MANAGER

BP_SLS_MANAGER

SAP_CRM_OR_ADMIN

SAP_CRM_OR_USER

SAP_CRM_UIU_FRAMEWORK

But he could not able to access the I-Reports. Can you plz suggest me what are the additional things i have to do it. The Important point is In development it is working with the same roles but in production it is not working.

To be able to extract from the DataSource, you need authorization for authorization object S_RO_OSOA (authorizations SAPI-DataSource) with the field values specified above.
Procedure for System Administration
There is a role template S_RO_OSOA_TMPL (DataSource (OSOA) Display/Maintain/Extract) available that contains the authorizations to display, change and extract all DataSources.
