Dear,

Many differences between SAP Inventory management and Warehouse management ,

In Simple:

SAP Warehouse Management allows you to manage your material flow, using advanced putaway and picking strategies. In the standard system, these strategies for putaway include random putaway (next empty bin), bulk storage, fixed bin, or addition to stock. The picking strategies include standard strategies first-in first-out (FIFO), last-in first-out (LIFO), picking by shelf life expiration date (SLED) ,or partial quantities first. For customer-specific strategies, solutions can be self-defined in user exits.

SAP Inventory Management manages the stocks of a company in quantities and values. It is integrated with supply chain accounting, and is responsible for goods receipts, goods issues and managing different stock categories (such as available, blocked stock and in quality assurance) and special stocks (including consignment stock and project stock). SAP Inventory Management provides a compact overview of stocks in the supply chain.

hi,

Inventory management processes in SAP ERP hold valuated stock in Inventory Management (MM-IM) and communicate this data to Financial Accounting (FI) for further financial processing. Although SAP EWM(Warehouse management) is the leading system for inventory management on a quantative basis, value-based inventory management is not possible in SAP EWM.

Warehouse management data is managed at warehouse number level and, optionally, at storage type level (that is, one or more storage bins) and plant level. In the Organizational Levels dialog box, you must therefore specify at least a warehouse number for each material with warehouse management data. As a result, the data displayed on the Warehouse Management screen depends on your entries in this dialog box.

Hope it helps...
