Hi,

Just drag a "Text Object" into the report header section and type in your Report Title.

use the Report Title special field. Originally populated by File-Summary Info....

or create a formula fiels using the File Path and Name special field and by using various string functions get just the Name part out.

Afternoon,

The easiet way I found is to drag and drop a text object onto the report header and type whatever you like. Then format it the way you like it (fonts 24,22, verdana, times roman, bold or italic etc).

There is another way which has been mentioned above, drag and drop the special "Report Title" from Field Explorer ->Special Fields-Report Title, onto report header. Mind you, you have to click "File --->Summary Info" and then enter name, author, summary etc into it.

This however will not show anything onto the report during designer view but will change upon preview mode.

Personally I drag and drop Text object because then whatever name you give to your report file it shows it onto the tabs however if you insert a title with special ability it does not show the name of the report you have given on the tab, which in some cases confusing when you have made 5 or 6 reports of the same title.

Hope this helps.

The Filepath and Name special field will show the name of the report...it just requires parring down
