Creating T-lanes between Loc types 1001 & 1002

I have two locations of type 1001, 1002. Now, how can I create a T-lane between Plant and DC or b/w a plant and a vendor automatically in APO ?

Is there a config or setting in R3/APO that creates T-lanes b/w two locations automaticaly in APO ?

Further, where exacty are T-lanes used in APO. Does SNP palnnning runs consider any T-lanes in Hueristic, CTM or Optimizer runs ? Or does T-lanses comes into picture only in TLB and deployment ?

Would be grateful if some one can share their views and thoughts on this!

In addition the above comments though Tlane is CIFfd from R/3 we have to create Modes of transportation in APO, you can do mass creation of Tlanes using Tcode /SAPAPO/SCC_TL2. you can spcify Product specific means of transport in APO in Tlane.whenever Pur.Requistion, STRs are created it has to be supported by Tlane.So Tlanes are used durig SNP by all the three planning alogoritms

T-Lane gets used in SNP Network Heuristic/CTM/Optomiser Planning Runs all of them being Cross location planning.

TL will be created by CIF automatically if you have :

1. Contract

2.inforecord

3.SchedAgreements in R/3 for that material and you have created IM for them in CFM1 and CFM3 in R/3.( Applicable for External procurement)

Will be Created by Special Procurement key if it is between DC and Plants .( Applicable for SCM version 5)

You can also create it manually in APO by tcode /SAPAPO/SCC_TL1 - Master Data -> Transportation Lane -> Transportation Lane .

TL :You need transportation lanes when planning supply and distribution between different locations. Products can only be procured if transportation lanes exist between the available locations.

If you had defined the 'Special Procurement Key' in R3 Material Master for Stock Transfer from Plant to DC ... then the Lane would be created Automatically by CIF.
