user restriction

Dear Experts,

We would like to restrict some users to use the warehouse in the transactions. We have 100 thousands items and 20 warehouses. There are 2 databases i.e. Fty 1 and Fty 2 (Fty = factory). One of them is new one that copied from old one using CX. The Fty 2 is new one and the warehouse code still available there. Instead of whse deletion, we plan to lock it. Do we have to use DTW or SP_TN ?

Pls advice. TIA

B'Rgards,

Andres

Hi Andres,

SP_TN can definitely be used to achieve your goal. I am not sure what DTW can do here.

Thanks,

Better use DTW to lock required warehouses using

oItems DTW template in which use Items & ItemWarehouseInfo templates to update item masters.

Also detick auto add all warehouses to new items in Inventory tab of general settings.

Andres,

what Suda suggest is better than DTW template, but you could also use it. Just use oItem and oItemwhseinfo templates.

let me know which one you choose.
