WebDynpro page and Portal page

Hi,

Can you describe what are the difference b'n webDynpro page and portal page?

Why should I go for only webDynpro page when I need to add WD IView to page?

Is WD IView possible to add portal page in NW portal 7.0? if so why the WD page is developed by SAP.
