Syntax check error when using exit type BEx variable in FOX (BI-IP)

Hi All,

I'm stuck with a problem in FOX (BI-IP) which I'm sure might probably be due to some system parameterization, but although I have searched for a solution everywhere I could not find the reason yet.

I'm trying to use a multiple single values BEx variable of exit type in a "FOREACH ... IN VARIABLE ..." command, but when I check the formula syntax the variable is not recognized!

I've tested using another multiple single values BEx variable of type "user entry" and then the syntax check was okay. Only when I use an exit type variable I get the check error. It seems as though the IP Modeler can't retrieve metadata info from this exit variable (?).

I'm pretty sure I can use a multiple single values BEx variable of exit type in a FOX code, because I've done this before in other systems.

Before I forward a new error message to the SAP Support Desk, I'd like to kindly ask whether someone has ever seen this problem before?

Thank you in advance for any help.

Regards,

Ricardo Calaç
