if yes please dont do that
if not try to see the variable u used in ur query
see its technical name and variable name
see how u have used it in query designing.

hi,
thanks a lot for the quick answer.
I have found below help,
defined default values for variable 'Fiscal Year/Period (Selection Options, Optional)' that are not appropriate for the variable type; for example, a range is defined as a default value for a variable that only permits a single value.
The same variable is used in some other reports, how does this effect the other reports.
if I change: will variable effect the other reports?
If I delete: will it allow me to delete and will also delete from other reports?
Regards,
Vijay

Hi srini,
in PS module, there was a report which had a variable-manual entry for fisical year period and its a single value(002.2002), where i have restricted to range (002.2002 to 002.2008) and saved. now I cant change the variable its directly throwing me the trace. the report is not allowing me to do any changes on the variable I have changed. the same variable is used in other reports as well, the case is similar with other reports.
Thanks and Regards,
Vijay
