i set the validity date example 08-10-2008 to 08-11-2008

for my schedule line source list

in what basis the date of the schedule lines created

hi,

the date in the shedule lines is entered as per the requirement date for the material in your firm.....

If you need material as per your forecasting, for so n so dates, then you make the schedule agreement as per that only....

now when you enter this schedule agreement in the source list...

then the range of the date in source list shd be same as that defined in the schedule agreement...this is because if you don't define same then your schedule agreement will not be source relevent in the given time as per the schedule agreement dates....and no procurement will be seen by the MRP..and ultimately you block the source by providing the different date....

Only schedule lines with a planned delivery date within your source list validity window will be created (i.e. via MRP). If the planned delivery date is outside of that window and their are no other valid source list dates, you will probably get purchase requisitions.
