Unable to Change properties for Info Object

Hi,

I have char info object.

No master data object, No Text, No Hierarchies and no Attribute.

This object is been used in ODS and in Multiprovider.

Now my question is,

In Business Explorer tab for this infoObject I have,

Query Execution Filter Val. Selection = Only Value in InfoProvider

I want to change this to

Query Execution Filter Val. Selection = Only Posted Values for Navigation

I am unable to do this change, when I try do changes and try to save or activate it will successfully done. But the value for Query Execution Filter Val. Selection will remain same.

How can I change this value?

Hi,

It is possible that you have to delete the data in all the Infoproviders where this characteristic or KF is used.

My InfoObject was created by reference of other infoObject..

Hi Subodh,

That is a problem. When you reference other infoobjects, it uses all the properties of the infoobject it references. Its properties cannot be changed unless you change the referenced infoobject.

if you do not want to change the referenced infoobject, make this infoobject a template and not reference and u will be able to make changes to it.

Now My infoObject is not refereed to any object.

Still the problem persist. It contains data, also ODS have data.

you cannot change any properties in the Production box.

These have to be changes in DEV and transported.

All this time I was thinking you were in DEV.

that is ur real problem.

Hi,

go to InfoProvider maintainance where this InfoObjcet id being used>Extras (from manubar>Structure Specific InfoObject Properties>Navigate to Your InfoObject->you can set required Property in Last column( 'F4 Query' column).

Hi Subodh!

I have exactly the same problem. Can you please let me know how you solved it?

I have tried to change the ODS-specific settings to "only posted values for navigation" but for me this makes no difference.

Hi subhodh,

Do not take any reference when ur created infoobjects, this is will given problem when we create variables in Bex.

Better to create seperate infoobjects without reference and load data again.
