Creating and Adding in Map Layers using MapInfo

Greetings,

I'm trying to create a map layer in Crystal XI (Release 2) that will map down to the zip code level, as far as I can tell, the maps that come with Crystal XI only go down to the state level. I have tried unsuccessfully to create a new layer. What do I need to do in MapInfo, or in Crystal XI to get mapping to the zipcode level? is there something I'm missing?
