1327 - Invalid Drive error in Vista upon install
The business objects general form support people suggested posting in this forum as well to
resolve my problem below:
I'm trying to install Crystall XI (Vista) and I get the following error
1327: invalid drive I:/ where I is a valid network drive.
I upgraded to release 2 sp 2 and am still getting this error.
Try these steps:
The following resolution involves editing the registry. Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall the Windows operating system. Use Registry Editor at your own risk.
For more information on how to edit the registry, view the 'Changing Keys And Values' online Help
topic in Registry Editor (Regedit.exe).
It is strongly advised that you make a backup copy of the registry files (System.dat and User.dat on
Win9x computers) before you edit the registry.
This error message appears because the
'CommonFilesDir' entry for the
Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion' subkey does not correctly specify the default path to the Windows
Common Files directory.
To resolve this error message, set the value of the 'CommonFilesDir' entry to the 'C:\' drive.
Hope this helps
