Hi SAP Gurus,
I would like to know how to exclude the existing assets from posting depriciation?
Please help.
Thanks
NTH
Hi,
there is no way t exclude assets from depreciation. Your auditors would not be very happy if this would be possible.
If you do not want to post depreciation for an asset, then assign depreciation key 0000 or MANU. This means then implicitely that the asset will not have any depreciation values calculated in these depreciation areas then.

Hi,
When you have it set the Asset shutdown bit, there is no longer depreciation
When this field is not available you can set up this in the fieldstatus group (tab Time-dependent data)
In the derpeciation key you have to say to that this allowed

Hi NTH,
please search in the documentation at http://help.sap.com. There you find all information concerning shutdown.

Hi
Assign the ZERO Depreciation key in the asset master data.
