Project definition and WBS validation (coding mask)

Hi,

I need to have a validation coding mask when WBS under project definition must be same with project definition.

For example :

Project Definition : ABCD3PLH

WBS level 1 : ABCD3PLH1

WBS level 2 : ABCD3PLH2

WBS level 3 : ABCD3PLH3

I need validation to validate the first 4 character which ABCD.

What should i do in Validation (OPSI). Should i maintain in PRoject definition or WBS element ?

Plz help.

Prerequisite

PROJ-PROFL = 'ZXY'

Check

PRPS-POSID : 1-8 := PROJ-PSPID : 1-8:

Warning:

WBS code not matching to definition

AS u selct PRPS-POSID at right side push the buttton FLDCOMP

define range there

What the function of the number 1-8 ?

Can i validate only the first 4 character between Project definition and WBSE?

of course you can just put 1-4

Number 1-8 checks first eight characters.Depend on the requrement u can give the range.The validation suggested by me is as per conditions u stated in ur Q.
