Eligibility Check for Children Education Allowance

Hi All,

I need help in configuring eligibility check for children education allowance.

I have configured a wage type 9CEA for Children Education Allowance. As per client's policy, if the employee has 1 child, he should get Rs 12000/- per annum as CEA. If the employee has 2 children, he should get 24000/- per annum as CEA.

9CEA will be given in IT0015.

I have maintained RAPs amount against each allowance grouping in V_T510 as 12000.

Also, in wage type characteristics, for 9CEA its INVAL A.

In "Calculate Eligibility for RAPs" node, also, I have maintained 9CEA wage type and the amount (Rs 12000/-). Also, under eligibility check, I have maintained "Check for Ee Characteristics".

And in 40ECS feature, I have maintained :

1. MOLGA =40

2. ALGRP=all the allowance groupings

3.LGART= 9CEA

4.CEANO= 02, return value = 2

Otherwise CEANO=01, return value=1

After doing all the above configuration, I have created 0021 for an employee and have maintained 1 child,

Now when i create IT0015 - 9CEA, it is not checking for the max amt and is allowing more than 12000/-

Please advise, wat can be done to handle the above scenario.

Regards,

Reema

Hi

Here is the other way!

You can also give the Wage type evaluation in payroll.

If the Wage type is xxxx -- Constant amount 12000

Wage type is YYYY - Constant amount 24000

Think if it helps you, It is just an idea, pl award points if it is useful to you

Hi

Here is one idea!

Create 2 wage types.

Give maximum limit allowed for one wage type is 12000

another wage type is 24000.

The use them in 0015 IT.

That is one way of doing it. Hope this helps.

Please award points if it is useful.
