IDOC not visible in IR but metadata successfully imported

Former Member

Hi,

I have this wiered issue.

I want to import IDOC WPUSKR01 (cashier productivity) from BI.

But when I connect to BI system from IR to import Idoc structure, this IDOC is not visible.

But I can manually import the metadata from BI in idx2.

Now how to import this in IR?

I have imported other Idocs (like WPUBON) before and did the scenario successfully for BI.

Regards,

Anirudh Vyas.

Hi,

I have run IDX_STRUCTURE_GET in XI with below details:

PORT - ZBID100

DOCTYP - WPUKSR01

CIMTYP - blank

TAR_LOGDES - BIDCLNT100

Release - 700

PORTVERSION - 3

DIRECTION - 2

SAPREL - 700

I am successfully able to see all the details with segments in the FM.

This means that XI is importing Idoc metadata successfully with this FM.

But I have still issues with IR.

Anirudh.

The IDOC is WPUKSR01 not WPUSKR01.

Check again.

Hi,

I have done some R&D and found that for this IDOC there is no message type present and this is the reason you are not able to see while you are trying to import it.

You may thing then why you are able to import it as metadata in IDX2

Hi,

If The IDOC has been customized in SAP R/3 and we Unable to view that IDOC in IR of XI at the time of importing that.

This may be because of we didnu2019t assigned the idoc type to Message type at SAP R/3 level. Do it in WE82 and Release the object

Hi,

I have done some R&D and found that there is no messge type present for this IDOC and this is the reason you are not able to see while you are trying to import it into XI.

You may be thinking that why you are able to import the metadata in IDX2, the reason is basic type is present only and in idx2 if you give the basic type you can import the metadata.

May there will be some other IDOC for your requirement, so check the othere options..

Hi Sarvesh,

Thanks for your response.

I have checked in we57. There I can see entry of basic type wpuksr01 and message type wpuksr. I am not sure whether I in correct direction or not. But where else to check this?

Hi,

I just checked in we82, there is no entry for WPUKSR.

What to do now?

Does it mean that we can't use this Idoc in XI?

Well if message type is not present then we can not do anything and since it is a standard IDOC so we can't do more.

Better to find some other IDOC (if there are) or create some ZIDOC or write to SAP about this.

I suggest you to check permissions as well.

Hi Vicky,

I have SAP_ALL permissions in both BI and XI.

Hi,

In BI Tcode we82 I have manually added the entries for WPUKSR01. Now Idoc is visible when importing in IR.

I have checked all the segments in we31, they are all released.

But it gives error:

Error: IDoc type WPUKSR01 contains errors (unable to read segments)

Then, I checked in R/3, there also WPUKSR01 was not there in we82. I manually added there and I was successfully able to import it in IR.

But the same thing is failing in BI. I have SAPALL permissions in all the systems.

Can I use Idoc imported from R/3 in scenario for BI?

once try to delete it from metadata and then try to reimport it in IDX2.

After that also if you are not able to import it, try to refresh cache.

Hi,

Thanks all for your response.

I can see other Idocs in IR and can import them but I can't see WPUKSR01.

Whereas I can import the same idoc in idx2.

@Hetal,

I have deleted and did sxi_cache refresh but no success.

@Sarvesh,

Thanks for the spelling correction

Anirudh.

click on your SWCV and check weather import of IDOC or RFC from SAP system is permitted. and also change Connection Data for import System, Client parameter.
