Hi All,
Please let me know is it possible to change the posting period ( assuming I have manually opened previous period ) while creating billing doc , if yes then how ?
Please suggest.

Incase the FI posting period is open u can do it using VF06, by specifying the billing date on which the document is to be created in the default data tab.

You can change the billing date while creating the billing document which will impact the posting date. Normally more FI periods will be kept open unlike MM periods where only two periods can be kept open.

Hi,
It is possible, but it is risky. You have to basically open the previous posting period and do ur posting and then revert back to the present posting period.
I advise you to contact ur FI consultant for this. You can try convincing ur client to post in the present FI period. This is the mostly followed practice.
