Hi

It shows the value of material(s) for a specific or all company codes. By selecting combination of fields we will get desired data. It is a big report and useful in most of the cases. Do trials.

Cheers

List of Stock Values: Balances

Description: - The report List of stock values: Balance display is used to display the total quantity and value of the stock of one or more materials at plant and storage location level.

In addition, the system determines the stock account to which material is posted in the case of a goods movement.

You can display the balance values for each company code and G/L account. The balance of the G/L account is compared to the stock value of the specified material, and any deviation between the two totals is indicated.

Note: -

SAP recommends that you start this report regularly, for example, once per month for the previous period or during the tasks of the year-end closing. To do this, choose Periodic processing -> List of stock values from the Inventory Management menu.

No materials are blocked when you run the report. The systems continues updating stock values and stock quantities and continues posting values to the G/L accounts that have been checked. The balance values may not therefore by zero, even though there are no inconsistencies in the system. When postings are being carried out, you will not get accurate results until you run the report several times and compare the results of each one.

If you start the report without specifying a material, valuation area, or valuation class, the balance per stock account must be the same as the total valuated stock of all materials in the respective valuation class.

Variances can occur for the following reasons: -

o You have entered postings to the stock account manually.

o The stock account includes not only stock postings, but also other postings. In this case, you should check the account determination in the Customizing for Valuation and Account Assignment. Make sure that the stock accounts are used solely for the transaction key BSX (stock postings).

o The account assignment for the stock accounts (transaction key BSX) was changed during productive operation; the respective stocks, however, were not deducted from the old account (movement type 562) and posted to the new one (movement type 561).

Output: -

In the standard system, the report issues a list with the following

information for each material:

o For each company code, the balance of the G/L account is compared with the stock value of the material specified and the system indicates any deviation between the two totals.

o If several materials have been specified, the cumulative total of the stock values of all selected materials posted to the G/L account are compared to the balance determined, and any deviation between the two totals is displayed.

o If you place the cursor on the G/L account and select Environment-> Display stocks, the system displays an overview of all materials with their total stock and total value for the selected G/L account. If you place the cursor on a material and select Environment -> Stock overview, you can display the stock overview.
