I have created one excel sheet which has data from 2 excel sheets. I have created this excel sheet using excel macros. I am using this excel sheet as input for the xcelsius. Everything is working fine.

But when the data in thr excel sheet is modified it is not getting reflected in Xcelsius.

I have gone through the online material available. But that asks for xml source. I am not using xml as the source for my excel sheet. I am using excel sheet as the source.

Is it possible to update the data in any version of Xcelsius (4.5 or 2008)?

There is an article that can explain how Xcelsius Engage 2008 and higher (not Present) can use XML to update your presentations from a modified Excel spreadsheet. View it [here|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/502f3f56-f17d-2b10-a5bf-a85f12a9c30a]. Another useful tutorial on how it's done is available here [Part 1|http://datapigtechnologies.com/flashfiles/xxmlpart1.html] and [Part 2|http://datapigtechnologies.com/flashfiles/xxmlpart2.html].

Hi Sabita,

Xcelsius generates swf that is completely independent from Excel file and therefore the swf does not reflect the changes in it. You need to use some of Web Connectivity components to get your updates reflected in swf; you will probably need to use xml as a source.

Xcelsius also does not support macros.

Margaret,

Thank you for the quick response. But, I am not using macros. I have an exe which updates this excel document everyday at 7.00pm.

I want to view this updated excel document in xcelsius. Is there a way that xcelcius use this update excel document as a source.

Thanks,

Sabita
