i want to create two external number range for one material group. is it posiible.

NO its not possible...because to the group out of the rest...tick on it...and then you assign it to the material type....so, the used grp can't be assign to another material type again...

You Cannot assign two Number ranges to One Material Type.

i want to create a material master using BDC. for this i need external numbers in numeric and alphanumeric like,10000000,10000000A and etc. how can i acheive this.

using same material type u can not use two external number ranges

either create some material with number range 10000000...

Then assign new number range which will start like as u want

but at a time u can use only one number range

Hi,

Number range is assigned to Material type and not to Material Group.
