Hi anand,

In the Quality Management (QM) component, you can inspect either based on an inspection plan, or (with certain limitations) based on material specifications that are valid on a company-wide basis.

The use of the material specification depends on the settings of the following indicators in the inspection setup of the material master:

Inspect by charac.

Insp. with mat. spec

Insp. with task list

You use the last two indicators to define how the inspection should take place. In addition, the material specification can either completely replace the inspection plan or supplement it.

With material specification

In Customizing for inspection types you must enter the operation data for the material specification (operation number and control key) and you must enter the number range for the inspection characteristics at client level.

You create a material specification with master inspection characteristics.

You create a dummy inspection plan that only contains one operation with one work center.

In the inspection setup (Quality Management view of the material master), set the indicators Insp. with task list and Insp. with mat spec.

You cannot dynamically modify the inspection scope.

You cannot use all characteristic types.

You must completely maintain master inspection characteristics (reference characteristic or complete copy model).

Hi Anand,

Your Question is somewhat not clear but upto some extent what i understand the solution may be as follows for your material :-

- First assign Inspection type '06' (Inspection for returns from customer) in Material Master thru T-Code 'MM02'.

- Then go to T-Code 'QP01' and create a new Inspection plan with Usage '06' & Status '04'.

- Then generate a return delivery for that material & quantity , The Inspection lot will be with 'REL' status.

- If you have already maintained inspection type '06' in Material master & it is coming with System Status 'CRTD' then first make the Inspection Plan with Usage '06' & Status '04' then go to QA02 (Change Inspection Lot) --> Enter Inspection Lot no --> Then Click on Inspection Specification tab --> Click on 'Task List/Spec' icon to assign the specification & Save it.

- Refresh the view of inspection lot --> system will change its status to 'REL'.

Please revert with findings.

Thanks

Hi Anand,

Make sure you check the following settings:

That the usage of the inspection lot is the same as the usage of the inspection plan you wish to assign.

Check the key date of the inspection lot is within the key date range of the inspection plan.

Make sure the lot size quantity is within range of the inspection plan quantity.

Ensure the material is assigned to the inspection plan in QP02.

Check that the status of the inspection plan header is set to released

Hi

You might have created the plan for usage 1 or 5.

now you have to create a new plan or with existing plan create new counter with usage 06

after craeting this plan,

goto change inspection lot and go to the inspection specifications and click on task list and go ro sample tab clcik on sample and save

so the statsu should come from crtd to REl
