Change of Depreciation key

Hi

I have a scenario in which, till October 2nd, we were having Depreciation as 10.34% in book Depreciation Area. Now on, 3.10.2008, there is a change of rate to 11.23%. this has happened for book depreciation area. How can we map the scenario in the system that it will calculate depreciation @ 10.34% till 2.10.2008 and @ 11.23% from 3.10.2008. We run the depreciation clycle on monthly basis
