We have set an alert by sending to email every 1 minute.
When we watch in the Event Viewer of Windows we have the following message:
"The description for Event ID ( 62 ) in Source ( SBOMail ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Failed to mark records success."
Could somebody tell me how to fixed this problem.
Thanks in advance,
Chief
Hi Chief,
- Is the alert email being sent? And is the alert email being received in the relevant mailbox?
Verify valid email address is defined in the B1 application.
Go to : administration > system initialization > company details > E-mail
- In ALR1 table, check the Status entry.
- Is the alert query valid?
Recommend you check notes 1145537 (fixed 2005A SP01 PL46 & 2007 A PL38) and 1057190.
Kind Regards,

Hi Lilian,
Is the alert email being sent? And is the alert email being received in the relevant mailbox?
I have set the alert for 2 persons 1 of the person received it and the other person don't get it.
Verify valid email address is defined in the B1 application.
Go to : administration > system initialization > company details > E-mail
All emailaddress are filled for every user.
In ALR1 table, check the Status entry.
Status gives 'S'
Is the alert query valid?
Yes the alert query is valid. We are using SBO2007A PL41.
Recommend you check notes 1145537 (fixed 2005A SP01 PL46 & 2007 A PL38) and 1057190.
Dear Chief,
Please check the following details :
1. Please stop the SBO Mailer service and then start again. Then check
whether you are able to send emails or not.
2. If still you have the same issue then,
A) Change login details for the mailer service to the Domain
Admistrator
B) Restart the service.
C) Change login details for the mailer service back to local service.
D) Restart the service.
Now check this again.
3. If you are unable to send the email by doing the above steps, then
please reinstall the server tool. Also please make sure that you are
using the server tool from the patch that you are using.
