planned order shouldnt reserve

You can set the value blank of the field 'incl.planned.orders' using the transaction code OPJJ.

Hi,

Eventhough planned order is reserved item material, you can use that item material for some other order also. System will not stop you.

why in my production order availability check, it says missing parts. when i check MD04, the dep req for planned orders are getting the stocks before the order reservations

In OPPJ, keep the availability check field blank (by default PP may be there) so that system will not get any checking scope and not check the dependent reqmts in MRP run.

there is a PP value maintained in plant paramters. is this whats causing my error?

please correct if my understanding is wrong. if there is a value ( ex. "PP" ) in my plant parameters (OPPQ) & mrp group parameters (OPPR) for dependent requirement availability, system will include planned orders in checking for available stock, hence it will eat up the reservations thats supposed to be for the planned orders?
