Available.log file shows incorrect information

Hi,

In ECC 6 system on Oracle 10.2 Win Server 2003 SP2.

The available.log file when viewed through AL11 which is located in the work directory.

Since one month, the latest entries for available have been replaced with unavailable.

I checked the program in SE38, also no run-time error are there in the system.

Can you help me solve this inconsistency.

Best Regards,

Anil

Hi Anil,

u2018available.logu2019 is written by the SAP service sapstartsrv.exe. The service checks the status of the actual process list which you see in SAP MMC

If all processes are u201Cgreenu201D the instance is considered to be available, if not it is Unavalable.

So, I think you need to check whether the sapstartsrv is running fine on your system, or just restart the sapstartsrv and check if the available.log is fine.

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Vijay

Hello Vijay,

The ABAP Workprocesses are not visible in SAP MMC section ABAP WP Table.

In the Process list, DISP+WORK i.e. Dispatcher is always in Yellow status and shows message "Running but Dialog Queue info unavailable, J2EE:All processes running"

As this info is not visible, available.log file shows entry Unavailable .

Best Regards,

Anil.

Hi,

The problem is solved now. The sapstartsrv version needs to be the same which was used to update the SAP Kernel. If they are different, then changing it to the present Kernel path, solves the problem.

Thank you,
