Calling Crystal Report 2008 from ASP

Hi,

I installed crystal report 2008 on windows 2003 server and trying to call a report designed using crystal report 8.5

My other machine installed with CR8.5 is working fine with crystal report file "AlwaysRequired.asp" to call the report.

But for new machine with CR2008 is not working. When I check installation directory I found Crystal Report 12 and there I found "crsmarttag.asp" which is not working at all. Is there any other solution to make it work.

I want to call a Crystal Report 2008 from ASP.

Hi Thota,

COM SDKs are no longer supported in Crystal Reports 2008 and hence there isn't a way to run your older ASP application with CR 2008.

Please let us know if you have any issues related to stand alone Crystal Reports Designer however if you have any issues related to ASP application it would be appreciated if you could please post the questions in the .NET Development- Crystal Reports forums because they would be able to help you in a better way.

From the below which is the best one suitable for using from ASP om windows 2003 server.

Can you please let me know what is the difference between them.
