Hi,
Is Asset opening balance offset account is a balance sheet item or profit & loss account item.
Solution with clarifications are highly appreciated.

Hi
Make the GL offsetting account as B/S item since it is a clearing account for opening balances. However you can create it as a P&L account becoz at the end of go live the balance is zero.
