Vielen Dank schon vorab,

Gruss

Matthias

Hi Stefan,

the release notes of NW04S mention some enhancements/new functionality.

Do they also come with the NW04 support packs, or ares some of them specific to NW04S /XI 7.0

thanks and best regards, Dietmar

The release notes concerning XI should be the same in XI 3.0 and XI 7.0. Release notes concerning other components of NW may differ.

Stefan

Hi Matt,

no, you can only have one XI on one system

integration builder tools does not allow to choose mandant (client)

BTW

this is English spoken forum so please post your questions ONLY in English

Sorry Michal,

many thanks for your answer!

i already supposed that this architecture isn't possible.

So...

the new XI system. Do you advise a new installation or could we can copy our existing xi installation?

If you advise a new installation, should it be SAP NW 2004 or SAP NW 2004s? Wht are the varieties for XI?

Thank you very much indeed!

Regards,

matthias

Hi Matt,

I'd advice a new installation:

Why?

you'll know every configuraiton/installation step

BTW

one thing to remember (for the sake of every XI developer that will work on this new installation)

Make sure you perform Every step from the installation and configuration guide as shown in those documents

This is crucial

Hi Matthias,

You can copy the existing system or create a new one from scratch. It depends if you want to take over existing interfaces and scenarios or not.

Don't use XI 3.0 SR1. Apply the latest patch.

Stefan
