Tcode SLDCHECK errors out in ECC; SLD on another java system

Running an SLDCHECK in ECC to check the SLD in a standalone JAVA syste,

shows this error in ECC

Calling function LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS

Retrieving data from the SLD server...

Function call returned exception code 4

=> Check whether the SLD is running!

Summary: Connection to SLD does not work

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, SLDCHECK is for exchange infrastructure. For ECC, you just need to register with RZ70 in SLD. If your SLD is stand alone java, you need gateway to register an ABAP system.
