Web dynpro application in Blackberry

Hi,

I downloaded and installed 4.2.2.161 8320 from blackberry.com

How do i give my

1) URL of the web dynpro application to simulate here

2) The connection properties (as my application has model with rfc connection to sap)

Hi,

I typed the url of the web dynpro application, and appended it with sap-wd-client=WmlClient

but i get a message

Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service.

Hi,

I downloaded BlackBerry Email and MDS Services Simulators 4.1.4

- started the run.bat file in MDS simulator

- i started the device simulator BlackBerry Device Simulators 4.2.2

- i deployed my application from nwds to j2ee server

- then i typed url of my application in device simulator adding he wml paramter

- still i get the error Unable to connect to the selected mobile data service.

do i need to give j2ee server link or nwds server anywhere in mds simlator etc ?

No need to specify j2ee server link in MDS.

Is MDS window(command prompt) closing automatically?

That window should be running. If it is, check for the errors in that prompt.

Try to use the MDS and device simulator of the same version may be 4.2.X.

There can be jdk compatibility issue for running mds or simulator.

Try opening some other url, say google.com in simulator.

Yes command prompt is closing automatically. When I open the device simulator though, there is another window that stays open but its totally blank. is there a problem in my MDS ?

My versions are device simulator - 4.2.2.161_8320 and MDS 4.1.4. shud i change device simulator ?

In my program files folder when i go to research in motion -- BlackBerry_Simulators_4.2.2.161_8320-T-MobileUS there is only a batch file

there are no java or debug folders.

Yes, there is a problem with ur MDS.

The command window for MDS should stay.

I had jdk compatibility issue, so thats why I suggested to check on jdk.

I'm not sure what version will be compatibile with MDS 4.1.4.

check the prereuisites.

Hi,

I downloaded another version 8310 of device simulator

i properly set the environment variables java_home and path for java version 1.5

then it worked , i can now open the application in device simulator 8310

i am realy very thankful to aarthi mathivanan
