Stock transport order deliveries

Hi,

The system seems to create duplicate deliveries when a job that run VL10i creates these deliveries.

Does anyone have any idea why the system is creating duplicates deliveries when running this batch job?

These are STO deliveries and they get created within seconds of each other.

Have a look into your purchase order history tab.

Do you see there 2 deliveries? for one PO item?

How much is the quantity in the PO, how much per delivery?

it is exactly the same! infact both the deliveries were created by a batch job within secs of each other.

Yes I can see both the deliveries for the same item in the PO history tab.

Further question. I assume that the 2 deliveries are not created in one batch job. Why do you run 2 batch jobs for the same selection at almost the same time ?

I appreciate your help and to be clear the deliveries were created by the SAME batch job within seconds of each other.

The quanities match and they are for the same line item.

Delete the 2 deliveries and run the job again.

No I cant do that and plus it is not the first time I've seen it............so if you have any useful insights into the problem then now would be a good time to tell.......................

Right now I just can recommend to log your issue at OSS.

What is the selection you use for VL10B job, what are the details to your PO, do you have several items in this PO? does one item have multiple schedule lines?

Yes I am already in OSS. I gave you all the information I had by the way and I am okay with giving information as long as I dont keep repeating myself.

Just saying the delivery is double is not sufficient information.

Many things in SAP are dependend on very small indicators., selections and customizing settings.

You have not told anything about this.

But I hope you will let us know the reason when the problem is solved by SAP.

Today I was reported by user, the similar situation happended!

I have one PO item, got two DN generated by same batch job, both have same qty.

I can tell, it is not a delivery split. Really two DN generated.

(To my feeling, Jürgen L. is trying to challenge the happening of this situation.)

I am still finding the reason, but I can tell, even every small indicator can affect SAP system behavior, but any indicator should make a duplicated DN generated.

Hi,

Are you sure the deliveries are exactly the same?

I would assume there might be delivery split (due to eg. different delivery dates etc.) but cannot really imagine standard SAP variant to create multiple deliveries for the same STO items/quantities.
