Hi Gurus,

I came across a new fuctionality by name Solution Documentation Assistant.

Not able to get its usage clearly. Can anybody throw some more light onto it?

Does anybody has any update about the actual use of Documentation Assistant, whether is worth, how helpful it is.

I would like to get an actual example of using it at customer.

there are available an overview and a demo on Solution Documentation Assistant

and a documentation on

Both cover the newest version of the Solution Documentation Assistant.

Hi Guys,

I just was at a SolMan Enterprise Support Roadshow at Walldorf and they mentioned the Solution Documentation Assistant.

Apparently with SP18, due out next week, you can start the SolDocAss and someone in the satellite system can execute a business process and the kernel somehow records the transactions and puts it back to the SolMan. I asked them if Business Processes have to be maintained beforehand in SolMan and they said no.

Apparently the business process even gets automatically amended when support packages are imported.

The kernel creates a TBOM (Technical bill of material) which is imported to SolMan.

They only gave an overview so please do not ask me for more details.

Someone already saw a demonstration and it worked and the documentation should be out together with SP18.

If you require an assisted analysis of business processes, please evaluate the Solution Documentation Assistant which is included in SAP Solution Manager Enterprise Edition SP 16. Please note that at this moment, documentation is only available at http://service.sap.

This is delivered as part of SolMan Enterprise Edition add on.

If you have installed ST-ETP (Extended tracability package), it seems you can invoke the Work Center for Solution Documentation Assitant.

I have the component but haven't explored this area as yet.

I have already got this document. But it is not giving clear info abt the applicability of this feature.
