Batch job failure

Hi,

I am learning batch job. Can anyone tell me why does batch job fails when we don't have data?

Can this be checked by any means i.e. can we display some message instead of failure?

There are many reasons to fail batch Jobs some of them are

Memory Issues means not enough memory in application server.

Running parallel jobs at same time

Data inconsistency

No data.
