How to send external e-mails in workflow.i.e. to yahoo ,rediff ect.
Is there any setting done when we use Send Mail step in workflow.
All other settings have been done and it is sending mails when sent from So00.
Please suggest.
Hi,
I have heard of the extended notifications thingy, but never try on them before.
Previously, I sticked to the old method by using the program RSWUWFML2 and RSCONN01 to send the work items to external emails. Then, I scheduled these two programs to run.
Thanks,
YL

Hello,
If the requirement is to just send a mail(not the workitem) to the external mail address, you can do it using the SENDMAIL step type. Specify the mail address in the recepient address and type as the 'E-mail address'. Please check with the basis people for the settings to be made in the SCOT transaction for sending the mail to external mail address.
If you want to send the workitems to the external mail id, then you need to use the concept of extended notifications.
Hope this will help.

Samson

Hello,
Even I didn't get a chance to work on the extended notifications. Why don't you try to go through these links...
