Hi all,
I am in a bit of a jam at the moment so, i will get right to the point. i want users of the portal to be able to add personalised links to a page. (Somewhat like the favourites option in windows). I want the user to be able to add external links (like google, gmail etc) as well.
Is this possible? Can someone tell me how to do it if so.
Thanks.
Yes its possible Mazin.
To do it, use the Portal Favorites.

use: New -> External Link
For creating links to external items, such as Internet pages.
From the above link:
To add external items, such as Internet pages, to your portal favorites, proceed as follows:
1. From the options menu of the Portal Favorites iView, choose the command Organize Entries.
2. Choose the popup indicator () next to the breadcrumb, and choose New -> External Linku2026
3. In the Target field, enter the complete URL of the target item, for example http://www.sap.com.
4. Enter a name in the Name field, and save your entries.
Hope that helps and award points for helpful suggestions.
Ray
