Hi,

If i want to change the name of all the GLs

How can i proceed.

I find one way in gl master data maintenancei.e Mass change.

can anybody tell me about this.

Hi Mr Dara Rao as you wish you can do in the GL mass change screen. To do so go through the following path .

AccountingFinancial AccountingGeneral LedgerMaster RecordsG/L AccountsCollective ProcessingDescriptions ( T. Code OB_GLACC13)

A warning box will appear, Ignore the same and press enter

Enter

Chart of Accounts

GL accounts to be changed (from & to)

Execute

Then keep all your changed names in an excel sheet, then copy and paste in the short and long description fields and then save.

This is very easy method. Any no. of GL accounts discription can be chaged.

Or else you can go for LSMW or BDC.

Use TCode LSMW with the help of Abap Team instead of mass change. This is the SAP standard process of changing master data of GL accounts. If only few GL accounts need to be changed use TCode OB_GLACC13 - Descriptions
