Change the material in order

Hi,

Can any one help me out for the scenario below.

There is a Quantity contract for XYZ customer. Customer is not sure of the material for which he is going to place the order during contract. While placing the order with refernece to the contract customer wants to change the material.

The material field is grayed out when the order is placed with reference to the contract. Also after changing the material the quantity of the contract needs to be updated. I have tried with different options in copy controls but without success.

Hi,

Why dont you try doing material determination config such that the material which customer wants to display populates automatically in sales order....

and you can change the quantity also in the above option when entering in sales order.

Just give it a try.!

Hi,

first you can edit the sales order and delete the materila and quanitty and save it.

then edit the contract there also you can delete the material code and enter new material code which you required and save it.

now edit the sales order follow the below path.

from the menu sales document-- create with reference

here u can slect ur contract number and ur material code and give the qty then save it.
