Directly print to PDF

Hi,

I know that I can print to PDF choosing local printer and using for ex. PDF creator etc.

Is that possible to print from SAP directly to PDF? If yes, please explain this solution for me. How configure it?

I wil be grateful for information.

I have one more question, is that possible to adjust this printing solution as default? I mean that user by click printing icon can directly execute this report with PDF printing...or it is not possible?

Nope you cannot as per SAP Standard.

But u can definitely, write a small ABAP program - which shoots a print, generates a spool and then uses this report.

Finally, link this program to a custom t-code in SE93 and the user can execute it directly.

Hi,

Yes you can by using the report - RSTXPDFT4.Just create a spool request for any printer, even if it is dummy. Now do the following.

1. SE38 -> RSTXPDFT4 -> execute

2. In the first screen give the spool request #, you will get the spool request # in SP01. And then enter the filename of the pdf you want it to be downloaded as.

3. Save it to your dektop and view it as a pdf.
