CENVAT Determination has not been maintained for the material

Hi,

I'm doing migo with excise invoice capture, where i'm getting an warning msge as CENVAT Determination has not been maintained for the material ... why'its displaying and how to solve it. This material is a normal RawMaterial . used for prod. purpose.

GO to J1ID maintain the cenvat determination for materials which u are going to do migo

Here u can maintain input material code ROH and out put material HALB or FERT

NOw the maintenance for cenvat determination is not compulsary so it won't be an issue if u continue with the warning message.

Hello

CENVAT utilization is how we are offsetting the input excise paid against output excise collected.

The Cenvat utilization is reflected by the settings made in J1ID.

In J1id.

Companies are required to file with the Excise authorities, a list

containing the excisable finished products manufactured and the

excisable input materials required for such production, to avail Modvat.

It is possible that an input material may be used in the production of

more than one finished product. However, if such a material is mainly

used for the manufacture of a particular finished product then the input

material is identified to be the default material. The default indicator

is marked for such material.

The need for this is that since we have to offset the excise paid by us for the purchase of that raw material and the excise we are collecting as we produce another material using that raw material.

Hi Mahesh,

Cenvat determination is used by the system to find that, the CENVAT credit which your company is accumalating in its RG23A 2 will be utilized against which Finish product or Semifinish products.

To solev this go to J1ID and mantain the Cenvat determination.
