order price unit

A material has base unit of measurement, say, EA. The alternative unit of measurement is, say, Kg.

The conversion factor is say 1 EA equals 20 kgs.

I order 10 ea. Vendor quotes INR 100 per Kg plus excise 14.42 and VAT 5%.

During goods receipt, I receive 10 EA with order price quantity as 210 kgs.

Now PO will have basic excise duty inr 2800.

In GR, excise duty during cap and posting would be 2940, a manual adjustment.

In IR, the same basic excise duty, 2940, should have been calculated as a part of tax calculation plus ed cess, shes and VAT accordingly.

The system has been calculating excise as inr 2800 in IR.

Please give ur inputs on what can be done.

if 1 EA equals 20 KG

then 10 EA should equal 200 KG and not 210.

Your error is already in the master data.

hi,

There are certain materials for which the weight varies based on density.

I hope now you understand.

The exact weight at the time of dispatch was 210 kg for the same 10 quantities.
