DDIC ACTIVATION error while uploading the patch sapkb70009

when uploading the patch of sap basis in ides , m facing an error of ddic activation and transport error 8 .

pls suggest the reasons after this and help me into it .

Can u please post the logs with name SLOG....log in usr/sap/trans/log directory.

Hi Shilpa,

You can refer Note 822379 - Known problems with Support Packages in SAP NW 7.0 AS ABAP.

This note describes the problems with SP dependencies , the recommended SP queues etc.

If doesnot help pls provide us the import log

Hey Santosh,

we are facing the same issue of TP error while applying support packs.

We have done the kernel upgrade recently to kerne 700 support pack level - 221.

Whats the error on the logs? have you read the Note with the known problems of the SP that you're applying?
