Cenvat tick in J1ID will only for information that the respective vendor is participated in CENVAT SCHEMA.

there is no impact of this on customising.

CENVAT Scheme Participant

Indicates that the vendor participates in the CENVAT scheme (that is, deducts excise duty on inputs from excise duty on outputs). This indicator is only relevant to vendors that qualify as small-scale industries.

Dependencies

This information tells the system which of the two rates of excise duty (as maintained under SSI rates) to use.

You only need to use this field if you use the old excise determination method.
