misunderstanding in MM

Hello!

Can anybody clear the differents between the following parameters for me?

EM/TOTAL_SIZE_MB

em/global_area_MB

em/initial_size_MB

ztta/roll_area

ztta/roll_first.

As I know em/initial_size_MB should be set for all available hardware memory, but in the same time it should be smaller than em/global_area_MB. E.g. em/global_area_MB should use all available memory too?

Can be EM/TOTAL_SIZE_MB set for RAM and SWAP memory?

ztta/roll_area as I see in SAP Help should be the half of em/initial_size_MB? Am I right?

ztta/roll_first = 1.

Unfortunately, no...

Only common phrases and no certain conclusion how they depend one from another.

When we talk with my colleagues about memory (not in SAP), I imagine a pie where (for example) cherry is my RAM, and daugh is my SWAP In case with SAP I imagine pie, falk, knife, plate etc...
