Columns in ALV

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how many columns headers can be displayed in an ALV grid. I have written a report using ALV grid to display a long text and 70 fields but it is cutting on the 44th field but my client wants all column headers in one line...

Can anyone advice me?

hi fred,

To get the right format of output in the spool we generally increase the u201Cno. of columns fieldu201D in the Format typesu201D. use transaction SPAD.

This value is effective only when we check the check box u201CNumber of columns from list display formatu201D in the SPAD transaction.

>> go to the SPAD transaction code.

>> in menu setting >> spool system

>> in the others tab check the first check box, save n exit.

I have tried to do what you suggeted but unfortunately it doesn't allow me to check those options.

for alv display, maximum length of all the columns should not exceed 4092

I guess it is be based on the total width and not no.of columns.

Hi,

It is based on the columns width, yes. the number of columns that are dispaying is 44 only and i ahve tpo display 77 fields in one line.
