A problem about volume import

My question is how can I volume import in "define Ethnic Group".I try to use SCAT,but in Ecc6.0 it's no effect.And I also try to use LSMW ,no use.

It is view V_T517A.

You can maintain it thru SM31.

I advise you to say new entries and copy paste from Excel.

No need to worry about writing programs, etc.

Hi Frank,

Branch of study is a 5-character field as it is directly connected to the data element FACHR.

This is SAP standard and unfortunately you cannot maintain it w/o making a repair.

I advise you not to make any repairs & change your coding instead.

Frank,

You can only maintain the data elements, programs, tables that are customer-developed. These are the ones whose names start with a Y- or Z- character. Of course you can maintain them through a mechanism called repair. It involves getting an access key from service.sap.com specific to that object. However, I never ever advise repair as all the repairs are overwritten during Upgrade of the system. As long as possible, stick to the SAP standard.

Yes, the problem is that data element is defined to be 5 characters.

As per you message i confirmed that you want to upload data of your legacy to eductaiton infotypes

You better write a interface by using function module WS_UPLOAD.

I didn't understand your problem clearly but still give you an idea from what i am understood.

Some times LSMW will not work mean not able capture events properly why don't you try the BDC

if you expalin your problem bit more that will be useful for our experts

For example,I am in SPRO try to set:

"Personnel Managementu2192Personel Administrationu2192Employee Qualificationsu2192Education and Trainingu2192Determine permissible certificates for education type"

There is some original data in the system,but I need to update more data.As you know ,it's so much.

So,I'd like to find a simple way to import the data from EXECL.

I try to use "SCAT" to import these data,but in ECC6.0,it's no effcet.I also try use "LSMW",but I have no idea about it.

Please help me.
